Coping with Life’s Challenges and Stresses
Are you feeling stressed, anxious, depressed or overwhelmed? Are you having difficulties coping with the circumstances in your life? Are you having difficulties managing problems within your relationship, marriage or family? Are parenting issues becoming an increased concern? Is communication breaking down in your family or marriage? In my work as a therapist, I focus on helping my clients face the challenges in their lives and find new and healthier ways to respond to these challenges.
Women’s Issues; Infertility; Postpartum Depression
Women often face major challenges in their lives. Whether it is balancing the demands of family, personal and work lives, or coping with issues of infertility, or adjusting to the birth of a child, women face unique issues. In my work as a therapist I see myself as functioning as a guide, helping you navigate the challenges in your life and finding the inner strengths and resources to help you overcome these challenges.
Parenting, Family and Relationship Concerns
Problems of childhood and adolescence often frustrate and stress parents. You may have difficulty deciding how to best respond to your child’s struggles, or you and your spouse may disagree about how to discipline and set rules. In my work I focus on helping parents work together to find more effective ways to help their children. I also work with children and adolescents to help them establish a greater sense of responsibility, increase their self-esteem, find more positive ways to express their emotions and learn to negotiate respectfully with their parents.
My Approach to Therapy
I have almost 20 years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. I am enthusiastic and optimistic, and find great satisfaction in helping my clients grow, change and live life more fully. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on many different treatment approaches, ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to Play Therapy (for young children), to Insight-Oriented therapy. I try and tailor my work to the individual needs of each of my clients.
