Professional Experience
Ashley Pinto joined the Centers for Family Change in 2017. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s degree in 2008 from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Ms. Pinto has particular experience working with adolescents and their families, and has worked with adolescents in a variety of settings. She is experienced in working with a broad range of emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal issues including mood disorders, trauma, impulse control problems, and anxiety disorders. Ms. Pinto also has experience in working with adults with both acute and chronic mental illness.

Treatment Philosophy/Approach
Ms. Pinto utilizes a strengths based approach and focuses on practical applications to enhance her clients’ abilities to function more successfully in their daily lives. Ms. Pinto’s treatment approach is collaborative, solutions oriented and problem focused. She works closely with her clients to establish clear treatment goals and to monitor their progress in achieving their goals. Ms. Pinto draws heavily from Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral therapies in her work. Ms. Pinto also makes it a priority to create a space in which her clients can feel comfortable to share and explore concerns without fear of being judged.
